More to stuff my gallery with. I think I used an hour and some minutes.
Inspiration was drawn from one of the last self-respecting newspapers in Norway, specifically an article of theirs on the cyclone "Nargis" that hit Burma a year ago. One of the pictures in the article was headed with "Stormbarn". A woman gave birth to her child the day of the cyclone, and named her child after it.
"Stormbarn" means "storm child" in Norwegian. Or it can mean "storm children", too. I should probably point out that there are more than one of them in this picture. There are six in total. Five in the background, but some are rather hard to spot.
Hah, they don't really look a lot like children, do they? Doesn't matter, who says a child of the storm is like a child of humans?
That's an amazing interpretation! Somewhat abstract, but all the more fascinating because of it. Trying to find all the background characters in entertaining too.
Simple, yet not that simple. Human, yet a bird. I suppose there are many ways to view this.
I like the technique, the wings look amazing! Though I'm not sure I can tell apart from which part of the rainfall(?) is actually the background and which isn't in some points. Maybe it's the opacity, maybe my eyes are doing me tricks. :/ I don't know. A stunning piece of art either way!

When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.
